With over 20 years of dedicated coaching experience, Rachel Candy has established a reputation as a passionate and knowledgeable cricket coach. A former player with a deep love for the game, she quickly recognised the importance of creating a positive and inclusive environment where players can thrive. Over the years, Rachel has worked with various age groups, from beginners to elite athletes, helping them develop both their technical skills and a strong understanding of the game.

Rachel is excited to bring her wealth of experience and passion to more cricketers, and looks forward to helping players of all levels reach their full potential on and off the field.

Meet The Team
Rachel Candy
Head Coach
Rachel Candy is a highly experienced cricket coach with a passion for developing talent and nurturing potential. Her coaching focuses on training strong fundamentals, refining skills and challenging in game like situations and scenarios.
Rachel has an extensive background in both playing and coaching cricket. She represented the Central Hinds, Canterbury Magicians and White Ferns during her playing career. Rachel's coaching experience encompasses beginner through to High Performance athletes.
Rachel sees her role as a coach to assist cricketers to improve their skill set and game understanding and support them to achieve their goals. Her coaching philosophy is centred around the athletes she works with, creating a fun environment where athletes are encouraged to learn through guidance, questioning, taking risks and making positive mistakes.

Bachelor of Sport & Exercise (Massey University)

Core Knowledge Coach Development Course - HPSNZ
